For Lent this year I am creating a series of wallpapers using photos of the Stations of the Cross from St. Francis of Assisi Church in Sacramento, CA. Most wallpapers include an excerpt of a reflection on the station written by the folks at Catholic.org.
All wallpapers are offered free of charge on Flickr, although you are welcome to send something to the parish if you would like.
Please observe the Creative Commons licensing for use of these images, and we ask that you not repost the images to any other site.
Peace and blessings for the Lenten season.
Reflections of the inner light. Discerning a vocation as a lay contemplative Franciscan. Occasionally mendicant. A long time moving down the road of spiritual awareness in the spirit of St. Francis and St. Clare of Assisi. Slowly waking, looking around. Writing about the journey. Inspired by Jesus and the Apostles, Francis and Clare, Thich Nhat Hahn, and His Holiness the XIV Dalai Lama. Simple reflections of a journey. Welcome, come walk for a bit.

Laughing with the Saints
"That's not to say that no bishop has a sense of humor. Cardinal O'Connor of New York City was once at a fundraiser, I need a prop for this - it is a true story ..."
It seemed, with all the economic doom and gloom in the news these days, that a moment of humor might be called for.
This very short, and very funny, story comes from a video podcast of a talk given by Father James Martin, S.J., called “Laughing with the Saints: Joy, Humor and Laughter in the Spiritual Life” at Sacred Heart University last year.
If you enjoy this clip, the full 1:19:36 video is available as a free download from the Apple iTunes store at http://tinyurl.com/csodv8 (clicking this link will open a new window and attempt to launch a copy of the iTunes application).
Fr. James' book, My Life With The Saints, is available at Amazon.com and other booksellers.
