May is the month of Mary:

The Rosary is a powerful weapon against the devil
From an article by Fr. Gabriel Amorth, chief exorcist of the Vatican (from the March-April, 2003 issue of “Echo of Mary, Queen of Peace”)

"One day a colleague of mine heard the devil say during an exorcism: 'Every Hail Mary is like a blow on my head. If Christians knew how powerful the Rosary was, it would be my end.' The secret that makes this prayer so effective is that the Rosary is both prayer and meditation. It is addressed to the Father, to the Blessed Virgin, and to the Holy Trinity, and is a meditation centred on Christ. Please note that Walking In The Light (brotherguardian.com) is not associated with the Michael Journel or Echo Of Mary. We do, however, very much appreciate and understand the importance of the Rosary.

Sword from Jesus becomes rosary for Bishop

Is the rosary the Christian sword used to deliver us from every evil?
With the rosary being the weapon, and the Eucharist is our spiritual food.
A Nigerian bishop says that he has seen Christ in a vision and now knows that the rosary is the key to ridding the country of the Islamist terrorist organization Boko Haram.

“Towards the end of last year I was in my chapel before the Blessed Sacrament… praying the rosary, and then suddenly the Lord appeared,” Bishop Dashe told EWTN News April 18.

In the vision, the prelate said, Jesus didn’t say anything at first, but extended a sword toward him, and he in turn reached out for it.

“As soon as I received the sword, it turned into a rosary,” the bishop said, adding that Jesus then told him three times: “Boko Haram is gone.”

The Holy Father's universal prayer intention for April 2015 is that people may learn to respect creation and care for it as a gift of God.

His intention for evangelization is that persecuted Christians may feel the consoling presence of the Risen Lord and the solidarity of all the Church.

For the intentions of the Holy Father, let us pray:
Our Father, who art in heaven …
Hail Mary, full of Grace ...
Glory Be …
Amen.

"Jesus intercedes for us each day. Let us pray: Lord, have mercy on me; intercede for me!" - Pope Francis via Pontifex (2/28/15)

Pope Francis' prayer intentions for March 2015

The general prayer intention of the Holy Father, Pope Francis, for the month of March is for researchers - that those involved in scientific research may serve the wellbeing of the whole human person.

His intention for evangelization is: “That the unique contribution of women to the life of the Church may be recognized always.”

For the intentions of the Holy Father, let us pray:

Our Father, who art in heaven …
Hail Mary, full of Grace ...
Glory Be …

Pope Francis reveals how he prays to St. Joseph when there is a problem:

"I would like to tell you something very personal. I have great love for Saint Joseph, because he is a man of silence and strength. On my table I have an image of Saint Joseph sleeping. Even when he is asleep, he is taking care of the Church! Yes! We know that he can do that. So when I have a problem, a difficulty, I write a little note and I put it underneath Saint Joseph, so that he can dream about it! In other words I tell him: pray for this problem!"
