"Ut Omnes Unum Sint" ...

The Week of Prayer for Christian Unity is winding down and I come away from this experience with a renewed conviction that, as Catholics, we are called to journey along a path to unity by finding commonality and appreciation for the Christian differences between us and our brothers and sisters in Faith.

By walking together for a bit, perhaps the Truth will become evident. And, if not, then we must continue on our path while remaining as close as possible to our spiritual brothers and sisters. Jesus did not force anyone to walk with him. He invited. He did not look down upon those He met along the way. He welcomed all. He did not discuss or argue. He lead. May we all be united in Christ, or, as written in the Gospel of John, "May they also be in us so that the world may believe..."

"... that all of them may be one, Father, just as you are in me and I am in you. May they also be in us so that the world may believe that you have sent me." John 17:21
