Reflections of the inner light. Discerning a vocation as a lay contemplative Franciscan. Occasionally mendicant. A long time moving down the road of spiritual awareness in the spirit of St. Francis and St. Clare of Assisi. Slowly waking, looking around. Writing about the journey. Inspired by Jesus and the Apostles, Francis and Clare, Thich Nhat Hahn, and His Holiness the XIV Dalai Lama. Simple reflections of a journey. Welcome, come walk for a bit.

August 2015 - The Holy Father's Prayer Intentions
Hospitality in families is a crucial virtue today, especially in situations of great poverty. - Pope Francis, via Pontifex, Aug. 1, 2015
The Holy Father's universal prayer intention for August 2015 is:
“That volunteers may give themselves generously to the service of the needy”.
His intention for evangelization is:
“That setting aside our very selves we may learn to be neighbors to those who find themselves on the margins of human life and society”.
For the intentions of the Holy Father, let us pray:
Our Father, who art in heaven …
Hail Mary, full of Grace ...
Glory Be …
Amen.
